" This picture showcases a simple tree standing in a river bed. this tree is visible from the road bridge that connects Dehradun to Rishikesh. The bridge lies between Jollygrant and Ranipokhri even that does not makes it special. what makes id tree special is that this tree is standing there alone from two decades or even more and since then it is inspiring the onlookers who pass by everyday by its Might and Mysticism which this tree portrays by standing still and alone in conditions were no one stands with him. Even if some people say that it fails to inspire them I believe that its hard to find someone who crossed that bridge and the tree fails to throw its visual treat on him. And hence it constitutes an important visual heritage for Dehradun and its surroundings".
I have been a Dun fanatic of sorts for years now. I was born in this city and have spent 19 years of my life here but to this date this city amazes me like a first timer. I try and discover new and unknown places in the city to just know and see how great this city is, and what all secrets this city has been keeping from us. Though i make sure that i keep those places discreet because i don't want them to be turning into a commercial nightmare. The video that you made and even this post really makes me feel that there is another Doonite who can understand the emotions i have for the city. Well written Bro..Well Done and keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteDoon is my hometown but I'm sad that I could never explore it.Lovely pic and writeup.
